The gorgeous Glasshouse Salon is located in the creative hub of Netil House, London Fields and owned by kiwi hair extraordinaire Olivia, whose platinum expertise have awarded her a host of recent press all in awe of her attention to detail. Olivia's creative eye assesses skin tone, eye colour, clothing, AND jewellery when deciding on hair colour options. She's well aware of the current hair trends but takes time to create a style or colour that suits its owner! I wanted to go as light as possible with my blonde hair and we discussed at great lengths the exact tone we wanted to achieve - not too yellow / not to silver and the 'right' type of bob that would never hint at 'mum hair' (always my worry when the word "bob" is mentioned). The salon has an industrial feel, softened by baby pink industrial light fittings and a scattering of lush green plants and cacti. The tables are stacked with all the right independent magazines, not a Heat in sight! Glasshouse even provides their own complimentary drinks menu that involves loose leaf teas, drip coffee, wine or beer. Oh, and they bring you nuts to munch on while you're waiting for your colour to develop. We love this place; their bleaching skills, soya milk, and wonderland magazines. The prices aren't bad either. I paid around £150 for the chop, bleaching, toning, and an organic hair treatment.
